Hammer & Screwdriver Network Error

I have seen Dropped in eth10 to 2494.Dropped this much means what ?and Please help me to know more for netwrok errors.thanks!

2494 dropped packets out of 200 gigabytes of traffic doesn't look bad at all to me.
