Perderabo is a UNIX King

This post is here because I couldn't think of putting it anywhere else, and also I imagine it will be deleted since we cannot set this sort of a precedent.

However I have to say Perderabo is a UNIX king. I have been a frequent user of these forums for over 2 years (under 2 different names) and have not seen anyone quite like him (or even remotely like him). I don't mean to exessively praise, so I will keep this short and sweet.

Mr Perderabo good on you. You have helped many and your knowledge seems almost depthless.

You are a UNIX king.

I'm not a moderator of this particular forum, so I don't have the option of deleting this thread. I appreciate the kudos, but let's not overdo it. Lots of people tower over me. You've never seen one? I could post hundreds of examples. But here's one (and I've been at this for decades before he was born!)...one example.

True. But he doesn't post on this forum.

BTW I completely predicted your response. Just for fun why don't you edit your post to say:

"Yes I am a UNIX King and I will smack you all down!"

Joke

I'll second the opinions expressed by Saabir. I wish I knew half of what Perderabo has forgotten. Now if we could only teach him to accept this praise without wanting to delete the thread.

BTW,

Perderabo has earned the prize and honor 'Member of the Year' for the past two years (2001 and 2002).

Many people have knowledge. To have knowledge and to share it is rare. To have knowledge and to share it with patience to all is a very rare exception. This describes Perderabo, most (99.5 percent ) of the time (I have detected a bit of impatience lately with posters who don't give system details, etc.)

Everyone is human

Lightbulb True Open Source Spirit

Guys!

Lots of people have knowledge in their limitless minds but it is certainly rare that they share that knowledge as freely and comfortly as Mr. Perderabo do all the time.

I think he is a true open source spirit so it is an obvious proof of his service to this very forum.

I really respect him for this.

He deserves more than that.
