iMovie '09: iPhone 3GS video imported into iMovie may need to be rotated
If you record video from your iPhone 3GS in any orientation other than as in the image below—with your iPhone held horizontally and the home button on the right side—your video will require rotation when accessed from iPhoto Videos in iMovie.
