iPod shows up in Windows but not in iTunes
This document is for Windows users. If you have a similar symptom on a Mac, refer to iPod missing in iTunes and Mac desktop. If you have an iPod touch, refer to iPod touch: Appears in iTunes but not in Finder or Windows Desktop. If you have an iPhone, refer to iPhone not recognized in iTunes for Windows. If you see your iPod in My Computer, but not in iTunes under Devices, try the following solutions starting at the top and work your way through the steps until your iTunes recognizes your iPod. Important: If you do not see iPod in My Computer, refer to iPod missing in "My Computer" or in iTunes for Windows.
