iMovie '09: Motion JPEG clips cannot be imported from some hybrid cameras
Some hybrid cameras can capture both AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition) and Motion JPEG movies. However, iMovie will only recognize the AVCHD clips in its Import from Camera window. Motion JPEG clips recorded with these devices will not be shown. Cameras that exhibit this behavior include: Panasonic DMC-GH1 Panasonic DMC-FT1 Panasonic DMC-ZS3
