Hiya!
I have installed clamav on my local machine and want to set it up to check my user "mbox"s. I assume that clamd would be the thing to use at startup and then make calls to it via clamdscan, no? Also, privilege-wise, clamd should run as what? root? clamav user? I have the log files set up in my /var/log directory and they are chown'd to clamav:clamav and chmod'd as ug+rw. The system doesn't allow writing though, unless the scan was initiated with sudo. anywho, any insights and suggestions appreciated. |
