HP has new Linux Laptop
Newfactor
Cnet story HP Web Site It's cool that they offer it. But it comes with XP Pro. Change that to XP Home and you save $50. Change that to Linux and it costs the same as XP Home. They are not passing the savings to the consumer. |

youre rightabout that, they arent passing the savings along at all.
but maybe HP is thinking, if you sell it too cheap, no one will want it. of course we all know they just want to make a lot of money, but this may play a role in their pricing scheme as well. |
