int XmbTextEscapement(XFontSet font_set, char *string, int num_bytes); int XwcTextEscapement(XFontSet font_set, wchar_t *string, int num_wchars); int Xutf8TextEscapement(XFontSet font_set, char *string, int num_bytes); ARGUMENTS

The XmbTextEscapement, XwcTextEscapement and Xutf8TextEscapement functions return the escapement in pixels of the specified string as a value, using the fonts loaded for the specified font set. Shopt -s histappend

What is the point of this? Whenever I close my shell it appends to the history file without adding this. I have never seen it overwrite my history file. # When the shell exits, append to the history file instead of overwriting it shopt -s histappend (3 Replies)
