Bug String Character Manipulation

I have an image 46272-th.jpg
I would like to have the ability to add / onto the first 3 characters to allow me to mange my image names and move them to the appropriate folders.

So for example, the desired output would be.....
Code:
mv 46272-th.jpg 4/6/2/46272-th.jpg

Can anyone please help me?

If your shell does not have the capabilities required by balajesuri's script, you could try:

Code:
for x in *.jpg; do mv $x $(echo $x|sed 's,^\(.\)\(.\)\(.\).*,\1/\2/\3/&,'); done

Make sure that you have the directory structure as required by the file-name change. Otherwise, the rename operation would fail.
