password expiration ?!?

Hi All,

I have this user on my /etc/shadow:

mysql:$1$vmw4r078$4.lp6z2s0KJYHKXTuPG2x0:13556:0::12:::

The 5 column is blank. Does it mean the user has no password expiration.

Thanks in advance for any idea.

4 is the minimum value in days, 5 is the maximum days before the user is forced to change. 5 left blank means no expiration. If 5 < 4 then the user cannot change the password -- this is on red hat try man 5 shadow
