Hi
I have dual boot system. Redhat 5 and XP. i lost the root password and guest password for RH5. Any way to booting the system. Pls help me. |

As far as i remember you have to boot from CD and chose rescue mode (Single user mode will probably ask you for a root password). You will be asked if you want to have your real system to be mounted under directory (i think it is /mnt/sys or something like that).
Then you can edit shadow file manualy or chroot to your real system and change root password. Regards, -Oktawik. |
