Backup Fedora 5
I have a Linux email server(using IMAP4 as email protocol) ,the OS is using Fedora 5, I need to do a backup every month. (I dont have tape drive)
I tar all the volume, ie. /var /home /usr.... with command tar -zcvf home.tar /home. Then copy all the tar to another media for storage. Am I correct on my method? If there is a crash in the future, I will replace the bad harddisk, reinstall Fedora 5, then untar the tar file to every volume. |
