Trying to install Fedora Core 3...

Hiya all,

Hope you can help.

I keep getting the same Error message when I try to install. I have tried several different Diskettes. And I finally ordered CDs from "FASTDISCs". The install "disc Checks" passed fine on these.

The error:
"The package usbitils-0.11.6.1 cannot be opened. This is due to a missing file or perhaps a corrupt package. If you are installing from CD media this usually means the CD media is corrupt, or the CD drive is unable to read the media.

Press <return> to try again."

Please help!

Martin

PS:
If Fedora is destined never to be on my Spare PC, whats the next best O/S for mainstream WEB SERVER Usage?

MY PC Details:

k7vmm+ mainboard

I got that exact error when installing FC3 a couple days ago. Turned out I just clicked "OK" after putting in the next installation CD too quickly - the system hadn't had time to spin up and read the CD yet, and Fedora's installer program didn't like it.

Try again and wait a good 20-30 seconds after putting the next CD in before clicking ok and see if that helps. That is all it took to fix that error for me.
