Position Title: Linux Application Engineer/Trading Location: Chicago Department: IT Operations Reports to: Application Management Team Leader Responsibilities · Learn about Optiver’s trading applications in order to identify and resolve trading problems · Actively improve the performance and availability of Optiver’s trading applications and the systems they run on · Drive innovation with specialized technical teams Requirements · At least 3 years experience working extensively with Linux systems · Experience optimizing, analyzing and supporting mission critical applications · Scripting experience such as Perl, Shell, etc. · A proactive customer focused attitude · Networking knowledge · Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative, hands-on environment · Strong interest in the Financial Services industry · Computer Science degree or similar experience EOE |
