WCCP+FreeBSD
Dear Forum,
I am trying to set up a Squid box to act as in WCCP mode. My router configuration enables wccp without any gre tunnel. I am using FreeBSD 6.2 and Squid 2.6STABLE18. I have googled a lot and got confused a lot as well. I have two problems. One is the firewall [using IPFW] that will be completely open. Only rule will be the port forwarding from LAN to 8080 of the FreeBSD Box. Two is it possible to set up WCCP without using GRE Tunnel ? As I have been trying to do it without configuring GRE. I have tested the tranparency of squid using a 2nd lan card in the freebsd box and it works fine. but when i am going online Router finds the Cache but tranparency dosent work. I dont see any log in the access.log file which gets updated when using the cache via the 2nd NIC [private ip]. Thanks in advance. Tahmeed
