Simulating Router Link Removal

I am trying to do a small simulation in which there are three-four routers. Initially I setup some traffic between them using some link capacity of the lines between the routers and after that, I want to cut out one of the links and observe the traffic flow. Is this possible using any tool?

Other than wire cutters?

Powering down a in the middle or unplugging them does the job.

Alternatively use ifconfig to reconfigure an interface.

Oh... I'm sorry. I should've put it more clearly... I was talking about Simulation - like Electronic Circuit Simulation, I'm searching for a tool that can help in router simulation...

Simulating Router

hey
to do Simulating Router you can use Dynamips its
a simulator for Cisco Routers & Switches .
you can get it from this link SourceForge.net: Files
and you need to install libPcap SourceForge.net: Files

and the 3rd thing is the bin for the router or switch (for ex 3600 3700 7200 ....)
you get them from http:// www.cisco.com

Sis
