Issue with FTP?

HI Guys,

Issue::

While doing bye command on ftp, it just hings as below untill you try Ctrl+C

Code:
891 bytes received in 0.0017 seconds (526.16 Kbytes/s)
ftp> bye
221-You have transferred 0 bytes in 0 files.

I too have tried with other commands like, close, disconnect etc but no luck.

Key point over here is, its only happening with a particular subnet, from other subnet location it is fine.

But couldn't able to identify the issue.

This is the snoop from which subnet it is not working.
(please upload image)

Snoop where it is working.
(please upload image)

any help would be greatly appreciated.

[I appreciate that you have asked for the thread to be deleted]

However, you have not said what platform you are dealing with. What O/S? FTP implementations do vary? Are the other 'working' machines the same O/S?

What are you trying to do? Quit one transfer and start another transfer?

In terms of ending FTP altogether have you tried:

Code:
ftp> quit

and

Code:
ftp> exit
