Hello Guys..

I am trying to learn networking, so I am trying to set up my home for that.

I have a internet connection from a local ISP. The speed is reaching close to 1.5Mbps (minimum).

I live in Chennai, India. Which modem-cum-router you suggest is best on coverage? (little low on budget too Smilie max: 2500 INR)

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section. If so, please suggest some forums for that

What type of Internet connection have you? DSL, ASDL, VDSL or what?

If you want to learn about networking, I would strongly suggest setting up a virtual lab and playing around with the devices. Have a look at Cisco Modeling Labs:

I think you can get started with free CCO login.

Start with Cisco as it probly the best path to learn abt networking.
