not able to upload the pjl commands thru ftp

Hi ,

By status requests to the printer using the PJL commands like status_read_back there is no answer. The printer itself is functioning well and is printing all requests. Ping, lpstat -t, nslookup is functioning well. The printer model is HP LJ 4200. The printer has been configured as network printer using HPPI software. There were no errors during the installation. Only the pjl commands are not Recognized by the printer.

Using HPUX 11.11

Need ur suggestion...

Thanks
Amit

Printers do not act as an ftpd server, so you cannot ftp things to a printer.
AFAIK, PJL is supported by HP 9000 series printers, the big document handlers. Does your printer manual say specifically that your printer supports PJL? Our manuals only mention PCL 6 and PCL 5e.
