Unable to install SSH
Hello!!

I have an HP-UX 11.23 box. I downloaded an SSH depot file form HP website.

Using SAM, I tried to install the depot file. However, SAM declared "it cannot find any compatible depot file to install".

Due to that, I tried using command line 'swinstall' just like HP tutorial taught me. However, the result was also same.

Could anybody here enlight me a bit...I kinda stuck here...

Does the depot file still have a .Z or .gz extension? If so uncompress/gunzip first.

If with .zip on the end then unzip.

Surely HPUX already has SSH, is this an upgrade/patch?

Firstly, the real version of my HP-UX box is 11.22. Sorry for the misinformation.

I tried to find the SSH depot for this version, but it seems like it doesn't exist anymore.

My box definitely doesn't have SSH. Therefore I tried to install one.

PA-RISC or Itanium?

Can you tell us the *exact* name of the depot file you downloaded, with all extensions etc?

T1471AA_A.04.50.010_HP-UX_B.11.23_IA+PA.depot

My box is 11.22. I downloaded this depot because no depot for 11.22
