Trusted system: Please Help.
I was playing with sam and i turned on the Trusted System feature (UX11i).
Now i cant log onto it anymore, i can ping it, but icant telnet, rlogin or login at the login screen. I dont want to reboot my machine because i am affraid it wont boot and ask for a password. My root password is not very long (5 characters)... Please help. |

If all you can do is ping a box, reboot is really the only option. Look in our FAQ section for the "lost root password" article and read that for some ideas. In the worst case you will need to reload the OS and then restore your files from backups.
