Error hp -specific
hi ,
we are running one process which takes a good amount of time to complete
,to do a different task i can make it run in background
if i logout from that machine tehn this process will die, i guess.
so what is the possible solution which is specific to hp-ux.
(i know this can be done using cron in unix)

You can try nohup

look at man nohup
