Error HPUX Hardware commands.

HI ALL,

I am new tp HPUX and i am looking for command that will retive me the following information on HPUX:

Chassis Name & Serial Number:
Monitor
Name
BIOS
Name
EthernetPort
Name
IPEndpoint
Name
PointingDevice
Name
Keyboard
NetworkPrinter
Name
LocalPrinter


Please , please please help me with these commands....

HI,

U can get all the infor using a tool called MSTM or CSTM

i would prefer to use cstm (u should have root privilises for the same),

#cstm
cstm> map all
cstm> sel all

save this to a file and u can see all the info..

for the device drivers look at ioscan output.

for more info man ioscan

yea i have tried cstm but i don't the info on BIOS , Chassis ,Monitor & keyboard Name.
never worked with MSTM though....would it give me the reqd info?

hi Veena,

Its the same as cstm, but tell me why do u need this info ??

i dont think that will have any info on monitor, it just have drivers installed,

and u can try ioscan output to see what drivers are installed for that.

HI Veena,

can u tell me which server your working on?? i mean what class?

there is nothing called BIOS in HP-UX HP9000 servers, ther is something called firmware ?? which u can find at GSP/MP console prompt.

let me know whats the exact info u need ??

use command "print_manifest" to get the information about the system
