Exclamation Cron Job Not Running

Hi,

I have a cron schedule like this

04,16,28,40,52 * * * * /nag/startProcessABatch (unix script)

i want to add new lines in this file (like Logging), i just copy this file into a /tmp folder (for backup copy), and i have edited this file (added few lines of code for logging).

cron tab is not able to run this file after edit, before edit it was working fine.
As for as newly added lines are concerned, i just inserted a ">> A.log" in the echo statements and that is all.

i have not changed the cron tab schedules. Can you tell me what could be the problem

What happens when the job is supposed to run? What is in /usr/lib/cron/log? Did you edit the file with the crontab command? You can not just edit the real crontab files. If you did that, stop and restart cron.
