ftp first connection closed

Hi,

Have anyone seen this problem, there is one remote side where their ftp connection to our server will always fail with connection closed by remote host and the second connection will be working.

is this an OS issue or network issue?

Sounds very close to automounter issues... Is this the case?

there is no automounter running on the server.

Apologies, I seem to have misundertsood, Its not at the connection you have an issue but during transfer, correct? if so what size file is beeing transfered? Are both servers HP? the remote?

it does not have problem during transfer, it is the first connection will closed every time, when they connect second time it is ok.
