ksh93 deprecation...

Any means of running ksh93 in a ksh88-mode?

Might sound odd, but I want/need to restrict U/Win-developed scripts to correspond to the ksh88 version on my Solaris environment(s). Thanks.

You can change the shebang
Code:
#!/bin/ksh
to point to a ksh88 version of the shell. You will need to have one installed somewhere on your machine to get "vanilla" ksh behavior.

kind of begs the question of whether there's a ksh88 version of U/Win out there then... Otherwise, I'd probably want to set an environment variable or alias and not muck with my shebang.

Thanks.
