After rereading the thread and thinking about the problem, the printer fault is probably the key to the issue.
What model are you using? Is there any difference in lpstat -t if you take the printer off line and bring it back on line. There are some potential issues with permissions. IIRC there have been issues when the permissions were not 777. But that may be faulty memory as I haven't had a printer problem in the OS in years. |
