Error Sun Oracle Netra T5220 processor help

I recently required some Sun Oracle Netra T5220s. I do not have much knowledge of Sun products.

The units do not have video cards or hard drives. How can I tell/go about figuring out what clock speed and how many cores the processor is?

They are all outfitted with 32GB of memory. Two are manufactured the 48th week of 2011.

They have single UltraSparc T2 processors.

Download Solaris and boot the server from the ISO file over the service prozessor or burn the ISO to a DVD and boot the system over the internal DVD drive (if there is one). Boot into single user mode and type psrinfo or prtdiag -v from the # prompt to get infos about the servers hardware.

Update:

All of the three units are doing the same thing and unable to access via TTY port via Putty.

When you plug the units in they do not power on via the power button. It takes about 3-4 minutes being plugged in, then they turn on. There is a critical warning light on. They do not have any hard drives (don't know if that has to do with any of the lights.) I believe the Okay Light is on at the same time. Then within a few minutes the critical light goes out and the Okay light on the front panel is green.

Any suggestion on what to do?

How do you connect to the system? Please tell in as much detail as possible!

It is connected via Serial Port. COM 1 on the Dell Poweredge R310 box to the Serial TTYA port on the T5220. Once those are connected I plug in the power cords to the T5220s and wait for it to fully boot up.

Putty is configured at the setting 9600 baud, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, no handshaking.

Do you see any output in the putty session after you plug in the power cables? if not, you might be using the wrong cable... you SHOULD see the bootup of the SP right after you get power to the machine!

No output. It is a standard serial cable I use for resetting Netgear and HP switches. Crappy Putty black box with no letters. Smilie
