    I also started my unix career on HP-UX 8 in 1993 after being a cobol / Mantisse programmer-analyst on GCOS7, I began as oracle developper but the site needed someone to take care of the systems (822 and 855) so I was asked if Iwould accept the job but without any opportunity (keeping my actual job and title but being sys/dba admin)...

    Need the command that is equivalent to TOPAZ in IBM..

    I started my UNIX career around 1987 on HP-UX. Since then, Linux has made a very big impact. I don't know the current market and trust Perderabo's opinion here.

    I used HP-UX for over twenty years. But I no longer do. Based on employment opportunities in the Washington DC area, it seems "on the way out".
