Password reset not being accepted

Why would a password reset, a provided numerical value thru email, not be accepted when trying to log in with it? I have expired the 5 login attempts twice with still no acceptance. thanks for the help

I have no idea what that would be the case.

I will reset your password from the admin interface and send the password to your email address. Once logged in you can change the password from the user control panel to whatever you wish.

EDIT: Password reset and email sent.

Might be a cookie or cache problem on the browser side?

I think the server side is fine....

The whole password reset function worked for me with a test user so I believe it is probably a desk-side issue.

There are also timing issues here.

Locked for 15 minutes is locked for 15 minutes irrespective of non-admin password resets, and I'm not sure how long the security token for the reset is valid for so there are a number of things that could be affecting this.
