now 4 users created, still no email
I'm sorry for being an annoyance. I did read in another post that anyone who gives a proper email address will receive a confirmation.
Well, I have created 4 accounts to no avail. Who knows, maybe I did mistype my email in one of them (twice since we have to reconfirm and with the same typo), but not in all 4, guaranteed (even one I'd be surprised). This is not the first time I register to a forum. I registered to another forum yesterday at the same time I did yours and I received their email within a few minutes. You suggested that perhaps my provider blocks spams. I have tried 4 different email addresses (one for each account), including my work address, my home IPS, a hotmail account and a yahoo account. I'm part of the IT Team at my office, so I know for a fact we don't filter out spams. Perhaps you could check the accounts I created and see if separately from this method of sending emails, you're able to email me. Or if you tell me where the email should come from, I'll go and monitor the external firewall during the registration process and for a while following it, to see if anything at all from you arrives at our site (that should help confirm if you're being filtered out by the mail server). I'm getting a little frustrated here. I realize no one owes me anything here, but really I doubt that I'm doing anything to cause this. Something somehow is wrong and I think it's at your end. I saw another post from another guy who says he tried to resend himself his login information because he'd forgotten his pw, but wasn't receiving anything. Kind of sounds like the problem I'm having - and this person sounded as though they were already a member. I'd really appreciate some help with this. |
