crontab file

Does any know if crontab files are automatically backed up anywhere? I am trying to track down when I specific entry was added to one of my crontab files and cannot just use the most recent timestamp on the latest version of the file.

Only if you already set up backups - either through a monthly/weekly cron job or normal backups (you ARE backing up your server, right?).

I use a script to collect data like crontab entries, routing tables, DNS service being used, system info (/etc/system, /etc/inittab, ... Solaris related), etc.
Collected monthly on all servers and saved to a server that does normal backups. 2 copies kept so I can tell if something is up when someone starts complaining.
