large file in AIX 4.3
How I can change the caracteristic do filesystem /alzenir of JFS para EJFS(large file)? What is the procedure.

In two words: you can't!

The bad news is: you can't change this property of a filesystem, because it would mean a completely different organization of the filesystem datastructures.

The only option you have is to back up the filesystems content, delete it, recreate it and restore the data. I hate to have no better news for you, but this is definitely the only way.

Strange difference in file size when copying LARGE file..

Hi, Im trying to take a database backup. one of the files is 26 GB. I am using cp -pr to create a backup copy of the database. after the copying is complete, if i do du -hrs on the folders i saw a difference of 2GB. The weird fact is that the BACKUP folder was 2 GB more than the original one! ... (1 Reply)
