During the boot, the system print error messages below (green text) exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load... I installed bos.cifs_fs, bos.loc.iso.ko_KR, X11.fnt.ucs.ttf_KR, X11.fnt.ksc5601.ttf on p520 express, AIX 5.3
and upgraded the system from 5.3 TL7 SP? to 5.3 TL7 SP10
and rebooted the system.
During the boot, the system print error messages below (green text)

exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program dtlogin because of the following errors:

CDE is not working
the system just prompt green text login
after login, I issued the command below
app:/usr/dt/bin] dtlogin -daemon
I received same error messages
and I issued the command below
app:/]mount -v cifs -o fmode=775,uid=203,gid=1 -n 111.111.111.111/administrator /Output /usr/local/Output
I received error messages below
There was an error connecting the share or the server. Make sure the lsdev command shows that device nsmb0 is in the Available state. Also make sure that the share name, user name and password are accurate.

But nsmb0 is in Available state

Please Help me

I have two OpenVPN servers set up with identical configurations except for the keys. One of them is hosted in a datacenter with a large backbone, the other is hosted on my home server's limited residential internet. One of them delivers consistent topped-out performance(100 kilobytes per second) even while under network load, the other delivers at best 30 kilobytes per second when load-free. Care to guess which one is which?

You'd guess I'd get better performance on the VPS, right? Wrong! My anemic home server gets better performance and throughput than my hosting provider. This is made doubly odd by the fact that throughput to my hosting provider seems fine in any other way I've thought to test. CPU load, I/O load, network load, all of those look minimal.

They're running nearly identical systems, with the same OS(Gentoo Linux) and very similar versions of OpenVPN -- indeed, their specific support for Gentoo and OpenVPN both are reasons this provider was picked. No firewalls or bandwidth throttling is involved yet. The latency to both hosts is nearly identical(i.e. terrible ;) But my client's behind a sat connection, so it's to be expected ) I'm nearly out of ideas. Is it time to fire my hosting provider? I am running AIX 5.3 TL8. After a disk failure, one of my mirrored application volumegroups went down. Unfortunately we have quorum switched on on this VG and the defective disk holds the majority.
I have set MISSINGPV_VARYON to TRUE and tried a forced varyon but it's still failing. I cannot switch off quorum while the VG is not varied on - and I desperately need the VG up and running. Does anyone know how I can get my vg back up and running ?

I'm trying to extract all the description fields from a MIB file which contain multiple instances of the following text:

Ideally I need to search through the document, and for each instance of 'DESCRIPTION' found, I need to extract the text found immediately after it in quotes, and join them onto a single line. So for example the above would produce something like:

Each instance should be on a seperate line. I'm getting nowhere with this, as my grasp of sed/awk is basic to say the least.

If someone could help me out here, it would literally save me hours or even days in monotonous work!

Actually they require to find out the user name which may be available before 50 lines.

One more thing this script will run every 15 min , i am thinking how to handle if there are multiple cases of these failures

any thoughts or code will be appreciated
