New to AIX

My greeting to all the readers,

My Name is Shakti from India – Hyderbad. I am absolutely new to IBM AIX in fact I decided and have just started researches about AIX. I seek guidance from all you senior people in the field.

I am working as first level support for UNIX and WINDOWS based server for UBS AG but here I don’t have much of technical exposure.

My question list goes like this:

- which is the first certification one should be acquiring to get a break in job market, my researches says that It might be paper 000-222.
- In comparison to Solaris and HP UNIX will you recommend AIX for a starter like me? – sound reasons for the same.
- Any links where I can get info on where to get training in my city on AIX ? Its not there on IBM site nor could I found it on google and not many of the institute here helped me on this heading.

Thanks and regards,
Shakti
