AIX 6.1 SMTP Server ?
Hello,

Looking for Document how to install / configure SMTP Server on AIX 6.1

is it through smitty menu ?

In terms of installation, sendmail should be installed by default, since it is part of the "bos.net.tcp.client" fileset:

>lslpp -w /usr/sbin/sendmail
File Fileset Type
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
/usr/sbin/sendmail bos.net.tcp.client File

yes, that's true. But can I make my AIX 6.1 machine as SMTP Server ? Do i need to download any 3rd party tools or there is something in AIX ?

I know sendmail isn't everyone's favourite, but I believe you can do everything you need using it.

Of course, if you want to serve POP3 connections or IMAP, you'll need other (free) software.
