Question Getting problem in linking using "ldd"

Hi

I have one libXYZ.a executable.
When i did ldd on that file, it gives me error like
"Cannot find /usr/ccs/lib//libpthread.a(shr_xpg5.o)".

The same library is loaded by the libABC.a executable.

The file location is added to "LIBPATH" variable.

And also libpthread.a is present in a given location.

I am not getting what could be reason in loading.

Ur help will be appreciated much.

Please reply ASAP.

In AIX,

LD_LIBRARY_PATH is equal to LIBPATH

To my knowledge, $LIBPATH and $LD_LIBRARY_PATH are not the same, they just start with the same value. They are *not* kept in sync automatically.
