What is sa_snap?

IBM has released a bug fix for sa_snap (AIX 5.3)
I have no problem installing the emergency fix, but I don't know
what sa_snap is. So that I can test that sa_snap still works after the fix
is installed. Also, how can one test sa_snap? Thanks.

You don't trust IBM? They have checksums and all: http://aix.software.ibm.com/aix/efix...p_advisory.asc

It is a sticky bit file, be careful the new permissions look like the old !

There are two, now! Get both!

Seems to relate to san and ip:

AIX sa_snap administrator reference -overflow -vulnerabilities -problem -advisories -vulnerability - Google Search

Thanks, DG.
I also found that sa_snap is part of ESA - Electronic Service Agent.

short names = aliases. When in doubt, run strings on it!
