1362-020 Cannot locate required graphics adapter software.

I am running a AIX 4.3.3 and I think the problem lies in my graphics settings. i am getting the following error when tring to run:

xinit usr/dt/bin/Xsession
1362-020 Cannot locate required graphics adapter software.
run 'smit cfgmgr' to install/configure devices added after IPL

Does anyone know how to resolve this problem. This is the first time I have used AIX so any help would be nice. Thanks,

Justin

Hi,
try to put AIX CD volume 1 to CD-ROM drive and run "smitty cfgmgr" command. In smitty screen select to input device box "/dev/cd0 (SCSI Multimedia CD-ROM Drive)" and press enter.

This should install missing device driver. If this doesn't work driver is probably missing from your installation media. In that case you might want to seek correct driver from IBM support website.

Hello again,

I tired it with all of the disks that I have. None of them did anything to solve this problem. How would I go about getting the drivers? Thanks,

Justin
