I have installed AIX direct Network printer as the below details....

printer1 hp@printer1 hplj-3 (HP-GL/2)

Printer is printing fain and clearly

but it's printing extra blank page after each print ?

What's the couse of this problem ?

Pls advice !

We had this problem once - turns out that we had the lines per page set wrong. IBM defaults to 60 and our app was doing 66 lines.

Does your print file contain escape sequences?
Are you printing plain text, PCL5 or Postscript?

To check the lines/page:

   Choose your print queu
      Choose Default Print Job Attributes
        Scroll down to 'Lines per page'

"trailing page" printer config option/parameter
- if memory serves, besides the "page height" (or lines-per-page) parameter,
I remember that "smit" and/or "jetdirect" used to have a specific "trailing page" yes/no config option/field, which governed the printing of an additional blank page at the end of the print jobs;
