sysplanar error

Hello everyone!

I'm having troubles with a new instalation of a server IBM Power6-550.

I followed this steps:
1.- Create a new partition for VIOS installation.
-> Resources: Sheared Processors, Memory, 2 virtual ethernet adapters, 4 LHEA adapters, 7 virtual SCSI adapters, the RAID controller, the USB controller and 2 Fiber Channel Adapters.
2.- VIOS Installation. -> OK
3.- VIOS First boot. -> OK

.
.
4.- Few seconds after booting...

I did search google for "B1A38B24 system p" and found this link, which recommends a firmware update.

If that doesn't change anything I'd call the hardware support. Looks like the system is 888-ing.

I had the same problem on an Power6 570 and was advised by IBM that this was a known issue and would be fixed in a future release of the microcode. I was advised that it would not be fixed until version EM350_xxx

That was fixed in EL340_075.
Also EL350 is now available.

The firmware was enhanced so that the service processor only logs SRC B1A38B24 when a valid network set up error is found. The callouts for this SRC were also improved.
