AIX warning message: 651-812: System shutdown due to

Hi Gurus,

One of my old server running AIX 4.3.2.
One member of admin group account keeps getting warning message for days as below.
From errpt log I couldn't find any clue related to this warning message. What I can say is this message shows up a few days after we did a disk change.

My questions are: Why root account didn't get this message but group
member tsgedi did? Any rountine diag log check somewhere I don't know is doing the error log check and keep sending out email to root group?

Any comments are welcomed and appreciated.

We get similar messages when there is a power fail on one of the power units in our boxes. It also produces a crontab entry in our case and warns every 12h. Maybe check the status LEDs of your power units if they have one.

I move this thread to the AIX subforum.

HI Zaxxon,

Thanks for your reply.

The strange thing is there is no warning entry in crontab, and no entry in errlog. Where the warning message came from? and root account didn't get the warning message.

Diagela runs at 4:00 am from cron and is causing the message.
Diagela analyses the error report for about the last 30 days and reports permanent hardware errors.
There must be an abnormal reboot recorded in the errpt in the last 30 days caused by a reason given in the message.

thanks dukessd, I checked the error log again and did find the error related to this warning message.

As normal case, diagale should put an entry in cron, but this time i didn't find any. So
I still confused a little.

Thanks again.
