internet access

I've configured my TCP/IP to have the right protocols to access the internet such as TPC/IP, subnet mask, gateway and dns server but still Im not able to ping anything to the internet. Anybody who has some few good words for me? I need help. Thanks.

Well... more detail would help.
What OS?
Can you ping machines on your local net?
What is your network design look like?
Are you going through a fire wall?
Is you DNS set up to pass requests through the fire wall?

etc., etc.???

There are literally doezens of reasons why this may not work.

I checked my firewall config and I forgot to add my host ip address for outgoing ping allowed. Everything seems to work fine. Thanks a lot for reminding me what to do.
