Vertias (physical disks monitoring)

Can anyone tell me what Vertias is?
Is it free? What is it used for exactly?
Thank you in advance.

Veritas is a company that sells different products - some deal with volume management (Veritas Vo~ume Manager).

You can tell if any of your disks are used by VM if in a df -k you see output of /dev/vx/.... they also make a file system, a backup product...

And it is not free.
