Question using UNIX shell acct to get POP3 mail from multiple accts

Hi Everyone,
I've just signed up for a UNIX shell account to use to host a webpage and email using my own domain name. I've got a couple of POP3 email accounts, and I'm trying to find a way to use them from my shell account, as opposed to Eudora or Outlook, etc. The hosting service hasn't been very helpful, so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas? So far I've stumbled across "fetchmail", which will get my mail, but I'm not sure how to then send mail out through the Pop3. Mutt? Elm? Here's the hard part: I can't just naively use the regular "mail" or "pine" that comes with
the shell, because when I'm on the shell I'm on the server. This means #1 the mail for ALL of my POP3 accounts gets lumped together so I can't check them separately, and #2 when I send an outgoing message, the domain name is of the server (i.e. the name of the host service, westhost.com) not my domain name. Am I being too stubborn in insisting I deal with my mail using this shell account? Does anyone know of any other hosting services that will let me do this?

When you send mail you don't use a pop3 server you use an SMTP server. Check to see if you have access to sendmail through your shell account.

Hey all,
I've found that Pine itself does what I've been looking for, which is good news, since it's usually installed already on most UNIX shells. Just for the record, pine can be configured in fairly advanced ways, not as advanced as fetchmail and the rest of the crowd, but enough for the average user like me. If you set the flag "enable-incoming-folders" in the setup > config to "true", you get a collection list that can hold inbox folders for any number of separate email accounts on other servers (and different servers than each other). In this collection you can "add" an inbox for each account you want to check. See the pine help for details, or re-post here and I can tell you what I did if you need help. To set your address, that other people see, you can set up "roles" -- again, see the Pine help for details. It sets your return address, signature, etc. to whatever you want depending on which folder you're in.
