i make it this way:

GNU bash, version 2.05.0(1)-release (sparc-sun-solaris2.9)

# mkfile 56k test1
# mkfile 5354k test2
# ls -lh
total 10832
-rw------T 1 root root 56K Sep 24 14:40 test1
-rw------T 1 root root 5.2M Sep 24 14:41 test2
