Thanks for the response. I started running Mandrake (booting from CD) but it recognized the size and serial numbers of my C & D drives only, not the hard drive I fitted to put the Penguin on. I don't want it to change anything on either C or D - I'm trying to multi-boot with 2K on C:\, XP on D:\ and Mandrake on E:\. The 'expert' install is well beyond me and the 'recommended' didn't allow me to choose the physical drive I have allocated for Linux. So, my question boils down to: how do I make it recognize and, then, install to the new hard drive? Or should I disconnect C & D and temporarily reconfig my box with just the one physical drive for the installation? (Yeah, I know, we wannabe newbies ask some silly questions.) But I'm trying...
