Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I am able to install it using yum. Following is the output of running yum:
Code:
[root@localhost Audio-Beep-0.11]# yum install perl-Audio-Beep
Loaded plugins: langpacks, refresh-packagekit
Existing lock /var/run/yum.pid: another copy is running as pid 2317.
Another app is currently holding the yum lock; waiting for it to exit...
  The other application is: PackageKit
    Memory :  60 M RSS (464 MB VSZ)
    Started: Wed Dec 24 06:52:38 2014 - 00:40 ago
    State  : Sleeping, pid: 2317

---> Package beep.x86_64 0:1.3-7.fc20 will be installed

At one point it seems that 'yum' was giving some error. The current value of @INC is:
Code:
 Built under linux
  Compiled at Oct  3 2014 12:05:47
  %ENV:
    PERL_MB_OPT="--install_base "/root/perl5""
    PERL_MM_OPT="INSTALL_BASE=/root/perl5"
  @INC:
    /usr/local/lib64/perl5
    /usr/local/share/perl5
    /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl
    /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl
    /usr/lib64/perl5
    /usr/share/perl5
    .
[root@localhost lab6]#

Now i am not getting @INC error but there is no beep. The beep program which i am trying to execute is:
Code:
[root@localhost lab6]# cat beep.pl
#!/usr/bin/perl
use Audio::Beep;
my $beeper=Audio::Beep->new();

                # lilypond subset syntax accepted
                # relative notation is the default
                # (now correctly implemented)
$music = "g' f bes' c8 f d4 c8 f d4 bes c g f2";
                # Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky

    $beeper->play( $music );

[root@localhost lab6]#

Kindly guide why I cant here any beep?

CPAN::Meta::YAML(3pm) Perl Programmers Reference Guide CPAN::Meta::YAML(3pm)

NAME
CPAN::Meta::YAML - Read and write a subset of YAML for CPAN Meta files VERSION
version 0.008 SYNOPSIS
use CPAN::Meta::YAML; # reading a META file open $fh, "<:utf8", "META.yml"; $yaml_text = do { local $/; <$fh> }; $yaml = CPAN::Meta::YAML->read_string($yaml_text) or die CPAN::Meta::YAML->errstr; # finding the metadata $meta = $yaml->[0]; # writing a META file $yaml_text = $yaml->write_string or die CPAN::Meta::YAML->errstr; open $fh, ">:utf8", "META.yml"; print $fh $yaml_text; DESCRIPTION
This module implements a subset of the YAML specification for use in reading and writing CPAN metadata files like META.yml and MYMETA.yml. It should not be used for any other general YAML parsing or generation task. NOTE: META.yml (and MYMETA.yml) files should be UTF-8 encoded. Users are responsible for proper encoding and decoding. In particular, the "read" and "write" methods do not support UTF-8 and should not be used. SUPPORT
This module is currently derived from YAML::Tiny by Adam Kennedy. If there are bugs in how it parses a particular META.yml file, please file a bug report in the YAML::Tiny bugtracker: <http://rt.cpan.org/NoAuth/ReportBug.html?Queue=YAML-Tiny> SEE ALSO
