Merging File with headers
Hi I need to merge 4 files. The issue i am facing is all the files have headers and i do not want them in the final output file. Can anybody suggest how to do it?

I am running a script (which compares two directory contents) for which I am getting an output of 70 pages in which few pages are blank so I was able to delete those blank lines.

I have done much googling on this, but apparently not using the right keywords.
I am assuming there is some kind of header for each file on a disk which stores information such as mod time, access time, etc.

I have a typical situation. I have 4 files and with different headers (number of headers is varible ).
I need to make such a merged file which will have headers combined from all files (comman coluns should appear once only).

Absolute neewbie here. I am trying to see if it is possible to edit headers/meta-data of files in Mac OSX. I am basically trying to change an audio file header to read 16bit instead of 24bit.

NAME
git-mergetool--lib - Common git merge tool shell scriptlets
SYNOPSIS
TOOL_MODE=(diff|merge) . "$(git --exec-path)/git-mergetool--lib"
DESCRIPTION
This is not a command the end user would want to run. Ever. This documentation is meant for people who are studying the Porcelain-ish
scripts and/or are writing new ones.
The git-mergetool--lib scriptlet is designed to be sourced (using .) by other shell scripts to set up functions for working with git merge
tools.
Before sourcing git-mergetool--lib, your script must set TOOL_MODE to define the operation mode for the functions listed below. diff and
merge are valid values.
FUNCTIONS
get_merge_tool
returns a merge tool.
get_merge_tool_cmd
returns the custom command for a merge tool.
get_merge_tool_path
returns the custom path for a merge tool.
run_merge_tool
launches a merge tool given the tool name and a true/false flag to indicate whether a merge base is present. $MERGED, $LOCAL, $REMOTE,
and $BASE must be defined for use by the merge tool.
