I would reccomend gcc and g++, GNU Make, and the Data Dump Debugger (ddd).

Most applications and backends for Linux and UNIX are written in C or C++.

Difference between development and Production unix servers for a application??

Hi all I am running a major script of my application in development for implementing code changes for process improvement in time. The script runs in production once in a month . It takes 8 hours 30 mins in Production server . what surprice me is , when I run the same script in development server... (9 Replies)

mcs-query-backends - a tool to return available backends for your mcs system. DESCRIPTION
mcs-query-backends is a maintenance tool for your mcs installation. It will show you all available backends to store your configuration files. SYNOPSIS
mcs-query-backends OPTIONS
mcs-query-backends has no options. FILES
/etc/mcs-backend Use "default", "kconfig" or "gconf" to select which backend will be used to store mcs-managed applications settings. "kconfig" and "gconf" are available through libmcs-backend-gconf and libmcs-backend-kconfig packages. ~/.mcs-backend Overrides /etc/mcs-backend. SEE ALSO
